Write for the Public

A letter to the editor is a great way to make your voice heard and help raise support for excellent libraries. Whether on recent library news, future library needs, or just your experience with and appreciation for ImagineIF, you have valuable insights to share and a letter to the editor is a great way to be heard. Just remember these tips:

1. Keep it brief, 300 words or less

2. Be polite and respectful, never pejorative

3. Use specific experience or evidence to make your case

4. Include a call to action. What should the reader do?

5. Proofread! Or have someone else do it for you.
